Lakers Beat Jazz in Game 5… kinda.

This game made me very nervous. Where did the first round LA Lakers go? Sure, Kobe came out and hit some shots, but I knew he was in pain and I knew the rest of the team would need to step up. Gasol was making some good shots inside, but was still having butterfingers catching and holding passes. Gasol made it up by having a few huge blocks. How wax was Fisher? I love having such a clutch 3 point shooter and someone we can rely on to dribble the ball and make smart passes. Let’s not forget how wax he was on his free throws down the stretch. What was up with Kobe’s free throws the first half? The guy made me nervous. Walton didnt’ do much as normal, and Farmar finally sunk a bucket! Way to go Farmar… now play some defense! Odom seemed to hustle and board the most out of all the Lakers. Big game for Lamar. Big. Down the stretch I began to get even more nervous as Phil Jackson wouldn’t bench the ice cold Sasha. The Machine was 1 for 11! Come on Phil! Bench the guy and have him get a tune-up, he was horrible! It was good to see the Lakers pull it off in the end, but I honestly think we should have lost that game. The Jazz made a bunch of turnovers and we got a bunch of lucky calls and boards at the end of the game. It could have gone either way. The Lakers need to step it up and play like they can… like they deserve to be NBA champions!
