Lakers Off to a Great Start

I couldn’t be happier!  The Los Angeles Lakers are looking pretty damn good thus far.  Sure, it’s early, but as a Lakers fan, I have to be excited.  I mean Chris Mihm even has 12pts heading into the third game!  Wowzers!

The two biggest positives I’ve seen thus far in these two games is:  Defense & Team Play.  Let me elaborate a little…

Defense:  The Lakers have shown me a HUGE improvement in flowing within their defense and picking up the open man.  I am seeing many more shots that seemed forced and most importantly, REBOUNDS!  They are finally crashing the boards.  They did a great job versus the Clippers and the Trailblazers by outscoring them in what looked like an easy manner.

Team Play… The Lakers are SHARING the wealth.  It’s not just Kobe puttin’ up big numbers.  After just two games, every Laker has scored in the double digits (both games combined) except Josh Powell and Luke Walton.  Don’t even get me started on Walton, OMG what a waste of money.  Looks like Walton was tokin’ the bong all summer… who is that guy?!!  We got Bynum, Kobe, Gasol, Fisher, Ariza, & Farmar all with over 20pts, this is what we need to take it this year.  TEAM PLAY.
