Lakers Tied With Boston For Best Defense

I was checking out the stats last night and noticed the Lakers and Celtics were tied for the best defense in the league. Sure it’s early, but as of now both teams hold their opponents to an average of 86.8 points per game. The teams are also #1 and #2 in opposing team field goal percentage, the Lakers holding teams to 39.5 field goal pct. It looks as though the Lakers and Celtics are in a collision course for the 2009 NBA finals. Let’s hope, as I know every Lakers fan is praying for chance at revenge.
Lakers are also tops in the league in rebounds per game with 50.8 per game and second in steals at 10.2 per game. And probably the most impressive statistic of all is the margin of victory the Lakers have laid down on their opponents in the first 6 victories of the season - 19.9 points. Impressive defensive statistics equal a perfect record.
Oh, and Lakers are also first in points per game at 106.7. A little offense never hurts either.
